What to Expect
Who we are
We are just “regular” people.
We are a diverse group of people from different walks of life. We don’t aim to be “religious” or “pious,” and we don’t gather simply out of habit. God tells us we need one another and that humbles us. God has given us more than we deserve, and we love sharing his love with one another and those he sends across our paths. We hope you will feel welcome when you come.
God’s Word drives everything that we are and do.
When you attend, you will hear God speak and see his Word alive. We devote a significant part of our time together to hearing God’s Word proclaimed by our pastor. We structure our gatherings as God has commanded in his word. We are all products of God’s Word. It has given us new life and continues to transform us. We have Bibles available for your use, and we want to give you a copy if you don’t own one yourself.
You won’t be the center of attention.
We are a gathering of sinners who follow Jesus Christ. That means we don’t have it all together, and we don’t pretend to. We aren’t evaluating you to see if you measure up or fit in. We gather to worship Jesus Christ and to help one another follow him. He is the centre of attention. You won’t be called out, asked to stand up, give money, read aloud, or pray.
